2010 GUIDELINES |
2010 KPRA Central Entry Office Guidelines
1. WHEN ENTERING….
A. As a member(s), please provide card number, hometown, rodeo(s) to enter, and preferences.
B. As a nonmember(s), please provide address, phone number, rodeo(s) to enter and preferences.
2. ENTERING WITH PREFERENCES….
A. Two to three preferences are preferred, however, the following options are eligible too.
a. A preference of “up and out” is allowed, however, does not guarantee you to get entered.
b. A preference of “1 over 2, and draw me out if less than ?” is allowed.
3. BUDDY GROUPS…..
A. Buddy groups consist of 1-4 people with a team in the team roping counting as “1” in a buddy
group. All other entries are a separate entry in the buddy group. Buddy groups need to be
called in on one phone call or one email, not separately.
B. Members of a co-approved association will be treated equally as members of the KPRA, at
rodeos that are co-approved with those associations.
C. Buddy groups comprised of “only members” will receive their performance preference ahead
of buddy groups that include “non-members”.
D. Anyone claiming to be a “member” of the KPRA or any association that a particular KPRA
rodeo is co-approved with must be listed on that association membership list in order to receive
performance preference priority over non-members.
4. RE-ENTERING…..
A. Re-entering is allowed, only during callbacks, if you were drawn out for any reason, as long as
positions are available. Example being entering “up and out” and you were drawn “out”.
5. LATE ENTRIES…..
A. Late entries are not to be taken by the entry line. Everything is to be sent to the stock
contractor and/or rodeo secretary once positions have been setup and call backs are completed.
B. A $10.00 fine will be collected by the Rodeo Secretary for every late entry.
C. Late entries will be first out in timed events, except for barrel racing, they will be last.
6. NO PRIORITY LISTS….
A. There will be no priority lists. Buddy groups are numbered as taken. The draw for preferences
is done by drawing from the total number of buddy groups with giving “membership buddy
groups” priority over “nonmembership buddy groups”.
B. Positions are drawn separately for each rodeo and each event. A random draw is used.
7. DRAWING UP 1ST….
A. If you have been randomly drawn up 1st in the timed events, other than barrel racing, 4 times
or more, and are able to provide the names of those four rodeos to be confirmed with the
entry line’s paperwork, then you will receive another chance at drawing a different position.
B. Being “1st out” only counts on an official draw, not a late entry.
8. NONMEMBER FEE….
A. There is a $10.00 nonmember fee per contestant at each rodeo entered collected by the rodeo
secretary, and paid to the KPRA.
